LL Signature Series wafters are carp hookbaits designed to be critically balanced. Unlike a normal sinking bait, which rests heavily on the bottom, or a pop-up, which floats above it, a wafter is only slightly buoyant. The weight of your hook and rig counterbalances the bait so it sits very lightly on or just above the lakebed.
Wafters around 4–6 mm for finesse presentations
Bait is almost weightless and sits very lightly on the bottom, when a carp sucks at the bait, the wafter can shoot into its mouth very easily, because the fish doesn't have to lift the full weight of a conventional hookbait. Once the bait enters the mouth, the hook follows. This can make wafters particularly effective when carp are feeding cautiously or when you want a small, natural-looking presentation.
For the small 4–6 mm LLSS wafters, I'd use them as a finesse hookbait for conventional South African carp fishing. You can fish one on the hook/hair, or combine it with a small mielie or other hookbait depending on the presentation you're trying to create. The LL range also gives you plenty of matching dips, sprays and other attractors.
